  • I’m frustrated
I was finally excited to hear the coming of RB4 as we are bored with our older RB/GH games....I just knew it would come back. I finally purchased the Xbox one simply for RB4 (well, and the older RB/GH games ). Once I took it home, I realized it wasn't compatible with my play worthy Ion set as NEWS FLASH MICROSOFT...I returned the entire system! I'm sure the Xbone one games are probably worthy to purchase for most, but as for me and my extended "band" it's just a useless pile of plastic.
You see, not only have we invested loads of money in the past, we intended the same in the future. However, I (like many others) enjoy the concept of gaming/music combination games so much, we invested to upgrade away from Harmonix built for beginners/children drum sets to quality Ion and other electronic systems. I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF EVER SPENDING MY HARD EARNED U.S. "NOTES" toward the cheap Harmonix toy drums, or Xbone UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED. I wonder how many feel the same??
(HELLO SONY? ARE YOU LISTENING?) We know now, your game system could be a wise purchase, However, all of our previous funds went to Live accounts, batteries, incompatible equipment, etc. and would be useless, as well as our previous games. MICROSOFT, ...Ive enjoyed you in the past, but now you've managed to make me feel foolish for the thousands Ive invested for your products, step up and do the right thing, or lose me forever.
IF ONLY..... SONY, OR YOUR OTHER COMPEDITORS devised a way for all my past investments be COMPATABLE !!!! ....
Here's an Idea....call it the "SONY JIVE" account, then find a way for the truckloads of songs in "Live" be transfered!!!! THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH for me!!!!
I for one , WOULD BUY YOUR PRODUCTS IN A SECOND!!!! ..........NEVER again investing a plugged nickle on Microsoft gamesystems!!!!
Make your move Microsoft...before its CHECKMATE!

  • Well, there's hope for it yet. Still sorta frantic at all responsible. I bought the xbone at a mispriced deal at $50 less than the lowest retail (new) an no it wasnt the cheaper less impressive white Walmart version...luckily I decided to google before opening the package. So I returned it, franticly after finding the Ion news. Looking forward to it once again, as many, many , MANY others have been(impatiently) waitng for the Ion acceptance.
OK Microsoft. You win this time. You're dealing the cards. Long overdue. Now plan on making more millions with the Ion/Xbone/RB4 acceptance.
Geez. All the upgrades near the same time? Its gonna blow us Ioners heads up taking in all lthe newness all at one time. FINALLY. Take my money beoches. This fall

  • Seemed pretty easy to fix. PDP was able to create, and manufacture these with less than an month support from Microsoft.

  • Alright ION Audio, love your drums but my faith in your company is now no longer. Your backing of your customer service base is lousy and inconsistant.

No valild response from customer service or from a valid employee with real knowledge & answers in this forum to show your support of your product for the XBOX One.

We all have been waiting very patiently since the next gen conole has come out.

It has now been months since then. It is way past time for this company to step up to the plate to answer your customers on this matter.

It is NOW TIME TO ANSWER THIS CALL from your many members on this matter!!!!

The standard answer of " We haven't heard anything" doesn't cut it!!!

Get someone in here that does have the know how of the company and what plans are in place or if not for your drums.

If there are plans to get this done, who is in charge of running this project to get them up and running for the next gen console.

If not, then just say so! Saying no., Not that hard to be truthful and honset instead of hiding behing the company with silence.

As the old saying goes " you kill more flies on honey than you do with vineger" Take it to heart ION I would hope.

Real answers, not an ignore or a copy and paste from some script for a quick answer referral.

As the original creators of the version of the lower grade Alesis Drums which are marked as IONS, it would not have been too much to ask you to put in a firmware update with Microsoft for their system or at least another re creation of another XBOX One Module like your previous XBOX 360 version!!

You could have even made another EA set specifically built for XBOX ONE as well. Your drums were the the NO1. drums primarily used for Rock Band at one point. Many still would have gone down this road as well just to get them for the new console!!!

Very disappoined with your no response and reaction to your customer service base.

I will be no longer buying any sort of product from your company ever again unless you decide to re support your drummers with this situation.

When my IONs finally wear out (whenever that case might be, since I've had them since the day they first came out!), I will be taking my business elswhere in the meantime as I am sure many others have as well at this point.

    Respectively yours

    • Yea, obviously it wasn't about PDP now was it?????

Should have been the original creators here at ION Audio that should've been the 1st one to create the solution to this issue and not PDP.

Obviously you missed the whole points of my comment to not the members but to ION Audio!!!
    • Agreed, I have a feeling this was a very easy fix based on the design that PDP came up with it's nothing more than a USB converter. I think ION* just didn't care to deal with a video game they figured was no longer viable. Sad truth is I bet they figured RB4 would have been dead 6 months ago.
