I am running Mac OS 10.6.8, iTunes 10 and EZ Vinyl Converter 7.7. When I record and enter the track names, album and artist name most of the information I have typed has been lost when I open them in iTunes. The artist name remains but most of the other info I have typed has been lost, forcing me to replicate steps over and over. Instead of the track name what appears is "EZACT#". Another odd occurrence is along with a 3 minute (or any length) track will be a 2 second (or similar abbreviated time) track that I have not created.
I have hundreds of vinyl albums to convert but this problem will make the process twice as burdensome. Please help!

1*In iTunes got to Preferences and Uncheck Sound Check, Sound Enhancer, and Crossfade Songs.
*In the General tab, click Import Settings. Make sure Import Using is set to MP3 Encoder. Settings should be set to Higher Quality (192 kbps)
*Go to the "Advanced" menu and check the boxes "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy file to iTunes Media folder when adding to library".

Hi, friend. I'm having the same issue and I'm TERRIBLY frustrated, I don't even know where this file is being created!! I'm hoping for an answer by Ion!

Hi, Heffe. I could solve the problem with a workaround. It's a shame that we need to come with such a pathetic solution, but since Ion takes so long to answer us, here I come:
First of all, make sure the encoding configuration on your iTunes is for MP3, with 192kbs quality. The workaround is easy and really stupid, but it does work. Begin your recording BEFORE the LP track iniciates. After 5 seconds, click on "new track" so it can "close" the first one and proceed to the second recording. The first one will be trashed on import, just like this issue we had, and the second one will be perfect, MP3 encoded and 192kbs. Make sure you name the Artist and Song you just recorded!
I've tried this with a single-song LP, so it's up to you to figure out for multi tracks LPs. Maybe the software only trashes the first recording...
Hope I could help you! -

Thank you J Sandeen. Your remedy worked perfectly! Now recording more efficiently and no more repeated title entering!!

Sorry for the troubles but glad it worked for both of you. Enjoy!

this isn't working for me. I've had my settings set as Sandeen shows & I still get files that are EZACT# for the artist, tune and album no matter what I name them. I've gotten to the point that there is NO POINT to naming them since it will be a do-over.
