My USB Turntable iTTUSB05 did work well under windows XP, but the configuration paths and advises of the manual are designed for W XP. W 7 has a different configuration menu of sounds and periphericals.
Has somebody achived to use its Turntable under W7?

What problems can I help you with Marc? Is your computer not recognizing that the turntable is plugged in?

It recognises that a audio USB item is connected but then audacity doens't seem to read it. In the cell close to the microphopne on the upper menu, no movement can be seen as if the turtable was silent.
In fact it is not silent I see volume variation in the configuration menu of the sound peripherical recording, but audacity only records an howfull noise.
In my opinion, W7 considers the Turntable to be a microphone and W7 doesn't have the proper driver or codec.
Do you have a driver for W7 or could you advise of some codecs I should install?
Thank you -

Do you have an exclamation/error message next to the TTUSB in device list? Do you have any webcam or other devices connected/installed like a Pro Tools interface?

I had no problems on an xp based computer but there is no corresponding setup for W7. It calls for settings- control panel - sounds and audio devices. there is no listing for sounds and audio devices and no other areas come up with a relative screen.
I am on a toshiba laptop and have no audio inputs either - so i want to make sure I can hear sound throught the usb cable alone.-
You should have a "sounds" or "audio playback/record" screen. Can you not see it in the control panel.

I was able to get my turntable to record using windows 7 but the sound was distorted. Is this a window's 7 problem or do I need to calibrate the TONE ARM. the manual talked about the TONE ARM being properly installed and calibrated but there is no reference as to how to do that anywhere that I found.

Hi
I had a problem with distorted sound which I posted here. I resolved it when I found that my HP laptop had an 'SRS Premium Sound' program where I was able to reduce the Record volume to just above silent (between 4 and 6) - then it worked.
Also had to experiment with which sound source (devices) I was listening to, and had a conflict between hearing y recordings and i-tunes playback and hearing Skype. Sort of resolved on the fly. May have to go into devices again when using turntable.

Good to hear. Let us know if anything else comes up.

I just loaded the software for my Ion turntable on my Windows 7 Dell laptop and I am getting "unable to connect turntable"? Why??

First make sure yo have tried all your available ports. Then open your control panel > device manger and make sure the new device shows up when the iTTUSB05 is plugged in. Also make sure you have no errors/exclamations on this screen. is this the only usb device you have connected besides a mouse/keyboard?
