iProfile bad sound
My iProfile sound is terrible when playing records and ipod. It's definitely a problem with the turntable since the radio through the receiver sounds find...not a speaker or transmitter issue. Any ideas?

Sorry is this when connected to the computer or as a standalone unit?

A standalone unit. I have never connected it to a computer. It was working fine a few weeks ago, and now suddenly there's horrible screeching and static.
-
-
Does the static happen when you ONLY use the record player without the iPod docked?
-
-
It happens both with the record player without the ipod docked, and simply playing the ipod through the dock.

I would try swapping the cables coming from the output of the iProfile to your receiver input. The RCA cables are the most common issue for static and signal drop outs. If this continues with new cables I would contact our service center. Here are the contacts:

That switch is relative to what you connect it to. The line out will not need an additional preamp. If you are connecting it to a phono input then use the phono output.

Note the lp volume controls the input level thru the usb connector. So when you are in the software and the gain does not adjust the level up high enough you can rotate the knob to increase the gain. I noticed this becuse the software was ending the album after about 1 minute of play which I guessed was the timeout for not receiving audio from the turntable and causing end of album. Note you have to be in the automatic or split recordings into tracks. The meter for sound level needs to be at least halfway up for the feature to work.
Worrks great once these items are adjusted. -
